My Life as a Gorilla
When terminal illness ravages Alan Parkman's body, his only chance of survival is to undergo an experimental head transplant. However a human body is not immediately available and so he reluctantly he agrees to have his head temporarily transplanted onto the body of a gorilla.
The transplant proves to be a success—at least, from a physical point of view. But now he must learn to adjust to his new situation, which has devastating psycho-logical effects on him and his family. Along the way he must deal with fear, physical pain, isolation, and unwelcome notoriety.
